Portlandia | Travel Diary

The second half of our trip was spent in Portland, Oregon. While Seattle had that big city feel, Portland was more of a small town and I loved the change of pace. Coffee shops and bikers filled the downtown area and there was so much to see and do. My favorite spot had to Powell's Books, where I could've spent the entire week looking through the never-ending shelves of books. Our hotel was right next to a beautiful forest and waking up to the view of thousands and thousands of trees is something I could definitely get used to. While downtown Portland was super trendy, we made sure to venture out and explore the beautiful nature scenes. After renting a car, we made the two hour drive (which looked like something out of a Twilight movie) out to Cannon Beach and it was absolutely breathtaking. Cannon Beach was completely different than any beach out here in Southern California, but beautiful in its own unique way. We also made sure to visit Multnomah Falls and the gorgeous waterfall was something like I'd never seen. There's something so calming and rejuvenating about be so close to nature and I know I won't be able to stay away for too long.

Stay wild xx
