Here Comes The Fun

December 10, 2017

I love Ban.do with my whole heart! Not only do they make some of the cutest products in the world, but it was founded and is run by some of the coolest ladies around. Jen Gotch, the founder of the brand is someone I truly look up to; she's the nicest person in the world, has the most unique style, and rocks the title of girl boss-- basically, she's everything I want to be.

Friendsgiving

November 24, 2017

The holiday season is in full swing and Thanksgiving came and snuck up on me a lot quicker than I was expecting. For real, how is already going to be December?! Despite how quickly it came, I was very excited for Thanksgiving. Of course I celebrate the holiday with my family, but I also love to celebrate it with my friends.

Falling In Love with Fall

November 19, 2017

With the temps in Southern California slowly, but surely, dropping, it's finally starting to feel like fall around here. We were blessed with a week of low-70's and while I know that it isn't much, I'll take it-- I even busted out a scarf over the weekend! It was a big deal.

24.

November 07, 2017

Over the weekend, I turned 24 years old. I can't even begin to wrap my head around how fast the years are flying by. I know 24 isn't anywhere near old but it's like... old. Aren't 24 year olds supposed to be grown ups who have their lives figured out? Honestly, I'm still waiting for the day when I wake up and actually feel like an adult. When I was younger, I thought being in your twenties meant you were magically going to get your shit together... but here I am, almost halfway through my twenties and I still don't know what I'm doing with my life.

Pumpkin Patching

There's no better way to enjoy the fall season than going to a pumpkin patch -- it's definitely my favorite thing to do this time of year! There's just something so beautiful about seeing all the rows of pumpkins and the stacks of hay. This month has been flying by and I feel like I haven't had the chance to fully enjoy the Halloween season so I decided to change that.

A Weekend In My Life

October 21, 2017

For this week's post, I thought it would be fun to give you a little recap of my weekend because it was one of the best I've had in a while! If you read my Minnesota travel diary last month, > here!< you'd have seen that I flew to MN to not only to spend some much needed time with my friend, Josh, but to also see my favorite band, Oh Wonder, perform. Our plan was for us to fly out to each other's cities to see them play, and this weekend, it was his turn to come out to me.

5 Things: Fall Edition.

October 16, 2017

Fall is finally here!... Well, kinda. The fall season is technically in full swing but with temperatures still in the mid-80's here in SoCal, it's a little hard to completely submerge yourself in all the fall festivities. While I can't whip out the boots and scarves just yet, I can still enjoy the new season in other ways, so here's another round of "5 Things."... but fall edition!

Halloween Treats| Blood Splattered Macarons

October 08, 2017

I loooove baking especially during the holiday season. Making Halloween treats is so much fun because you get to combine sweet with scary and these bloody macarons are just that! They are delicious and super easy to make and would be the perfect centerpiece for any Halloween party!

Halloween Time at Disney

October 01, 2017

Happy October, everyone! This year has absolutely flown by but we're finally entering the holiday season so I can't complain. Halloween is my most favorite holiday ever so I am super excited that I can finally start celebrating! I can't wait to indulge in everything pumpkin spice and binge watch my favorite scary movies-- now if only Southern California's weather would catch up too.

Sunday Funday | LA Day

September 24, 2017
all photos of me taken by @koaflores <3

Sundays are the best; they're made for sleeping in, brunch, and exploring with friends. Last Sunday, I got to do all three. The weather was beautiful so a few friends and I decided to spend our Sunday roaming LA and it led us to places we'd never visited before.

The Twin Cities | Travel Diary

September 17, 2017

I've always had a gypsy's soul-- I'm the kind of person who is always looking for the next adventure in life. It fuels me, inspires me, and revives my passion for life and the world around me. I'm always on the lookout for something new and last week, that led me 2,000 miles away from home to Minnesota. Lucky for me, two of my best friends recently relocated to the area and were able to show me around. With so much changing in my life, it was the perfect blend of different and familiar I didn't know I so desperately needed.

Travel Makeup Essentials

September 10, 2017

As you're reading this, I'm actually on vacation visiting some friends in Minneapolis (don't worry, travel diary will definitely be coming) and like every time I travel, I found myself struggling to not overpack. I overpack everything-- clothes, shoes, accessories.. I just find it so hard to leave things behind. Of course, I try to pre-plan outfits and whatnot, but I never know if I'll actually want to wear what I take, so I take extra. It's a problem, I know.

Plant Shopping + DIY Pot Upcycling

September 03, 2017

I've mentioned before how plant crazy I am-- there's just something so fun about owning and caring for your own little plant babies (I call them babies because I tend to name them all). They're absolutely gorgeous and come in an endless array of colors and sizes so there truly is something for everyone-- PLUS the challenge of keeping them alive is always fun.

The Happiest Place on Earth

August 27, 2017

Top: Zara | Jeans: Urban Outfitters
I spent the first sixteen years of my life living no more than five minutes away from Disneyland-- the fireworks over my house always meant bedtime when I was little. Growing up in Anaheim meant visiting the parks a lot, and I've been super lucky to have an annual pass pretty much my whole life (and still do). Spending as much time as I have at Disneyland has made this place pretty special to me; I've made the most magical memories and the best of friends over the years.

North Park, San Diego

August 20, 2017

Jacket: Urban Outfitters | Pants: H&M | Shoes: H&M

I LOVE San Diego. Like, really love it. More specifically, North Park. It's definitely one of my favorite places to spend the day. Sitting right next to the water, North Park offers an influx of trendy coffee shops, boutiques, bars, and cafes all within walking distance from each other, so your best plan of action is to park your car on one end and make your way through North Park's best.

DTF

August 13, 2017

Top: Ban.do | Jeans: Urban Outfitters | Shoes: Converse

Downtown Fullerton is one my favorite places to hang around. It's basically the hub for the two colleges nearby-- there's coffee shops, thrift shops, tattoo shops (where I got my first tattoo!), really cool bars, and cafes. (DTF night life is a post all in itself so maybe that can be a future post?) During the summer, it's a little more quiet as a lot of students are away, but as fall draws near and students return to campus, the downtown area comes alive again.

5 Things.

August 06, 2017
So for this week's blog post, I thought it would be fun to give you guys a little round up of some of my favorite things at the moment!

1. Ban.do planner

I'm a huge fan of planners and always loved getting a new one before I headed back to school every year. Since I graduated in the Spring, this is the first time I didn't need one for school purposes and not gonna lie, I was lowkey bummed about it.  BUT then I realized a planner would still be really helpful in my life now that bills and of course my blog are a thing! Ban.do makes my favorite planners ever-- they have lots of space to write everything down and they're also just super cute, which is always a plus ;)

Fruit Inspired Donuts

July 30, 2017

With summer in full swing, I've been all about fun and simple summer treats and I thought these adorable fruit inspired donuts would be fun to tackle next! I've seen these cute fruit-donuts fronuts? all over Pinterest and Tumblr and thought they were too sweet to not try! Also, let's pretend these donuts count as our fruit serving for the day, okay? ;)

Museum of Ice Cream

July 23, 2017

I'm sure you've heard of this sweet little museum that's been taking the Instagram world by storm. When the Museum of Ice Cream made its way over from New York to Los Angeles, people were very excited. It was so popular that tickets sold out almost immediatley  It's supposed to stick around until October of this year but I'm hoping they extend it because I fell in love and want to go again.

The entire museum is designed around ice cream. All of your childhood dreams come true in this magical place. It's like the world of Willy Wonka came to life-- along with oversized gummy bears, scratch-and-sniff walls, and a pool filled with sprinkles! Each room is themed and actually offers a sample of ice cream that goes along with that room (the mint mochi ice cream was delicious). The most popular room, and the one I was most excited for, was definitely the sprinkle pool. You literally get to dive into a pool filled to the top with sprinkles (its been days and I'm still finding sprinkles everywhere).

D23 Expo 2017

July 18, 2017

If you saw my last blog post, then you'll know I was prepping for the D23 Expo this weekend. The D23 Expo is a bi-annual convention where Disney fans from all over come together under one roof to experience all the magic Disney has to offer. At the expo, you get the insider scoop for all the new things coming to the Disney parks, films, and merchandise. I had an absolute blast this year and as exhausted as I am from it all, I am definitely experiencing post-con depression and already can't wait for the next expo in 2019!

Disney Style| Disney Princess Inspired Denim Jacket

July 09, 2017

If you're a Disney fan, I'm sure you've heard of a little convention called the D23 Expo. If you haven't, basically it's a 3 day convention held every other year where Disney fans from all over come together to experience all the magic. The convention is back again next weekend and I cannot wait! (I will be uploading both a blog post and a youtube video so stay tuned!) At the expo, you can attend panels where you get sneak peeks of upcoming movies, park plans, as well as early access to merchandise and so much more! As common as it is at conventions, cosplaying is a huge part of the D23 Expo.  Last time I attended, I went all out with my cosplays-- I sewed my own dresses, did the wig thing, and while I absolutely loved it, it was too expensive and time consuming for me to pull off this year. This time around, I decided to pass on the cosplaying and just wear cute Disney inspired outfits.

Update: Where Have I Been?

June 11, 2017

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since I've last blogged but I promise I'm still here! I just happened to start this blog during one of the busiest times of my life, my last semester of college, which has made it very hard for me to keep up with regularly posting. Unfortunately, I had so many other things going on that when it came to prioritizing it all, my little blog didn't make it too high up on the list. But don't worry, that's all going to change.

I decided to write this post as a little update of what's been going on. The biggest thing would have to be that I graduated college! This semester was crazy and there were a few moments during finals week where I didn't think I'd make it, but I did it, I'm done, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me.

Now that I'm finished with school, it's time to start the hunt for a real "big kid" job. It's all sorts of stressful and exiting at the same time. I also really want to put my heart and soul into this blog. Now that my schedule has cleared up a bit more for the summer, I hope I can do just that. I've been coming up with all sorts of ideas for posts and am going to try to get those out to you all regularly.

I've also decided to start a YouTube channel to go along with my blog. I love the idea of having videos to go along with some of my written posts. As much as I love having the written blog as a journal or diary to let out my thoughts, sometimes I feel that I have to limit the amount of photos I can add to keep it minimal and clean. Having a channel will hopefully let me post my content with a little more creative freedom, and will overall just be more fun for me as I'll get to play with multiple forms of media.

That's all I can think of for now! If you'd like to stay updated with any future posts, make sure to subscribe to this blog, as well as my other social media platforms, which are all linked in the right-hand bar! Thank you so much for reading,

xx

La La Land

March 21, 2017

One of my favorite things to do is explore different cities. I believe every city has its hidden gems and I love finding them and trying them out for myself. Luckily, Los Angeles has a million and one hidden gems so I don't think I could ever get bored of the city. It's one of my favorite cities and I love picking a corner or neighborhood and turn exploring into a day adventure.

Seattle/Portland Travel Diary

February 25, 2017

Hey everyone! In my last post I mentioned that I wanted to start a YouTube channel to be able have videos go along with some of my written posts. To kick off the channel, I decided to finally edit together all the clips I had from my trip to Seattle and Portland earlier this year. This was my first time editing so bear with me until I get the hang of it! I'll try my best to remember to film anytime I'm out doing something fun. I hope you guys enjoy this video and I'd LOVE if you could go ahead and subscribe to my channel.

Portlandia | Travel Diary

February 06, 2017
The second half of our trip was spent in Portland, Oregon. While Seattle had that big city feel, Portland was more of a small town and I loved the change of pace. Coffee shops and bikers filled the downtown area and there was so much to see and do. My favorite spot had to Powell's Books, where I could've spent the entire week looking through the never-ending shelves of books. Our hotel was right next to a beautiful forest and waking up to the view of thousands and thousands of trees is something I could definitely get used to. While downtown Portland was super trendy, we made sure to venture out and explore the beautiful nature scenes. After renting a car, we made the two hour drive (which looked like something out of a Twilight movie) out to Cannon Beach and it was absolutely breathtaking. Cannon Beach was completely different than any beach out here in Southern California, but beautiful in its own unique way. We also made sure to visit Multnomah Falls and the gorgeous waterfall was something like I'd never seen. There's something so calming and rejuvenating about be so close to nature and I know I won't be able to stay away for too long.

Sleepless in Seattle | Travel Diary

January 30, 2017

Last week, I spent a few beautiful days in Seattle. Needless to say, I fell head over heels in love with the city. I'm definitely a city girl at heart and Seattle's skyline and city lights stole my heart. It was the perfect mix of city meets waterfront and I felt right at home. I spent my time walking around the city exploring Pike Place and stopping at as many coffee shops and cute cafes as I could. The views at sea level were just as impressive as the ones hundreds of feet up in the air. The city itself felt like two different places as it transitioned from day to night, so there was always something new to look at. I've only been home a few days but I already miss Seattle more than I could put into words. I definitely left a little piece of me in the Emerald city and I can't wait until I can go back...

Hello, 2017.

January 01, 2017
As cliché as "new year, new me" is, it's fun to look at the new year as a fresh start or new beginning. Whether you're looking to reinvent yourself or just better your old self, there is a lot to look forward to in a new year. It's also a great time to set some new resolutions for yourself as well as offer some motivation to stick to them.. which brings me to my first blog post ever! I thought there's no better way to kick off the blog than with my list of resolutions for 2017.
